WRIT OF CHANGES
Release 1.11
NEWHold the Throne · every realm's month is metered until its cap and lit after it: a realm that reaches its cap stays awake until the 1st and costs nothing more that month. The owner can also light the fire early from the realm's card, prepaying what is left of the month's cap from the treasury. Nothing renews, and lighting is final. House members see the fire; only the owner can light it
NEWA chronicle for lit realms · a lit realm never rests, so it is now surveyed each morning instead: one entry per day somebody played, closing at five in the morning in the realm's own time zone, ending with the days of the world the fires stayed lit through. A day nobody joined writes nothing
NEWWhere the house has been · the realm's map now lays parchment over land the house has never reached, the holdings count the land explored, and the chronicle notes the day the house first reached each biome — the Ashlands with a word of warning. It is read from the world save alone, and never gives away a place nobody has found
NEWJump Master · a title for the steward who jumped the most, asked for by a tester who spent their meetings jumping. On a realm running mods, the chronicle plugin now counts every jump, and the counts stay with the house
NEWThe farm and the kitchen · the chronicle now counts the crops in the ground by kind, the ground tilled, the cooking stations, ovens, fermenters and cauldrons — and the occasional burnt supper
NEWThe Deep North and the Ashlands · the Frozen King is the eighth of the Forsaken, Fader's altar is pinned once found, and the raids of the far lands get lines of their own instead of being filed under other
NEWEvery beast that can be tamed · lox, asksvin, hens and moose are counted beside wolves and boars, young with their kind. A species appears in the holdings once the realm has one, so a farm of hens no longer reads "Wolves 0"
NEWMore of the Steward · eight new observations on a house's habits — hens that outnumber the wolves, fires per bed, chests per steward, ships nobody waits for — and never more than one of the absurd ones a survey
NEWWhen the scribe was away · if the chronicle plugin was missing for a session, or part of it was, the chronicle now says so, instead of reading a lost night as a quiet one
NEWValheim updates on a realm that never sleeps · a realm only took a Valheim update when it woke, so a lit realm could fall a version behind its players. It now checks for an update every half hour, updates itself once nobody is on, and the owner's card offers Update now. A realm running mods waits for its owner, and is warned its mods may not be ready for the new build
IMPROVEDThe public court · leads with the chronicle — its facts, its newest titles and the latest lines that name nobody — and a quiet session no longer blanks the lines
IMPROVEDA sturdier chronicle plugin · a Valheim update that breaks one part of the plugin now silences only that part, rather than the raids, the fallen, the jumps and the map at once
AMENDEDCoin packs · packs are now $9, $45 (+$5) and $90 (+$15), counted in months lit: $9 is one Small realm lit for a month. The $10, $25 and $50 packs are retired; coin already bought keeps its value
AMENDEDHolding titles · a steward with three titles who overtakes the holder of a fourth takes it, and their longest-held title passes on
AMENDEDMetres of road · road is now measured along its length in metres, not counted in painted paces, and levelled or dug ground does not count. Every realm's history was re-measured
FIXEDAfter the Valheim patch of 15 October · the chronicle read the newest world saves as empty and reported a survey of none of the world. They are read again
FIXEDBarrels · are chests, and now count as them, so a realm's next survey may find a store of new chests
FIXEDA lit realm at rest · a lit realm no longer promises to rest fifteen minutes after its players leave
